A couple of links...

Thanks to Helen for the link to the JCB song. It brought a tear to my eye - not sure if this is normal... let's hope it is Christmas number one. 'I'm 5 years old and my dad's a giant sitting beside me... And we;re holding up the bypass Me and my dad having a top laugh'.

Also, should have mentioned this a while ago - Dave's Cartoon Advent Blog is great. I love it I love it I love it.

Update - oops - forgot to add the link. The Advent Blog is here

Well Amanda, your dream's come true, who'd have thought your little mention would caterpault the JCB Song straight into number one in the charts!
JCB also stands for Jesus Christ Born, so is it a Christmas carol in disguise? Dunno, but it makes quite a good parable. Luke, the child, is secure with the Father occupying a priviliged position and looking out at the world of other traffic. The permissive will of the Father allows other traffic to pass when he chooses. The JCB is like a mobile 'strong tower', equipped with the armour of God. When on its building site it can both destroy and create. The toolbox on which Luke sits is the bible. It supports him and elevates him from the floor of ignorance to get a better view of his Father and of the traffic. It is not a cushioned seat, and sometimes gives an uncomfortable ride.
Later, they leave the world's traffic behind and ascend to heavenly places.
