What on Earth?...
I have no idea if this is genuine but this video of the Bank of AMerica reworking 'One' by U2 is absolutely shocking... how to totally rip off a beautiful song, all to celebrate the coming together of soem credit card divisions. So many corporations are so messed up. Thanks to Chris for the link.
I am trying to do my bit by supporting local businesses and shopping and banking ethically wherever I can. I would love feedback on this, but I am beginning to think that all Christians should bank with a bank with a decent ethical policy, like Smile... we only swapped relatively recently but I am so glad we finally got around to it. We have also just swapped over to Good Energy for our electricity. It is going to cost more but is well worth it, as all our electricity will be from renewable sources. And for those who are interested, our One Life reusable nappies are going very well. In fact, Daniel had a very grouchy afternoon a couple of weeks ago and we couldn't work out why. We had got behind with the washing and had to use disposables. As soon as we put him back in his reusables, he fell straight to sleep. We have renamed him EcoBoy. Even his baby wipes are called Eco Baby.
Am I going over the top, or is this every Christian's duty? Any thoughts would be great.

There is no feeling in the world like this
There is no feeling in the world like this. Both my boys are asleep and I keep going from room to room looking at them both with such love. Me and Neil seriously considered adopting rather than havign a baby in this way, for lots of reasons, but partly because even as Christians we thought that the world is so often a horrid place - how could we bring a new life into it? But I now realise that this miracle of life, this creation in God's image, my baby, is bringing God's kingdom to earth. The love that he already generates in us and others is revealing God's love. And, yes, the world is hard and rough, but we believe in redemption through Jesus, and my prayer for Daniel Toby is that as he grows in wisdom and knowledge, not only will he love Jesus but his words and actions will bring God's redemption and chinks of God's kingdom will shine through him.
